Magnum School of Motoring (Edinburgh) Welcome, Magnum School of Motoring is based in and around Edinburgh and offers a wide range of manual and automatic driving lessons in Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian and Peeblesshire.
Magnum School of Motoring was founded by two former Traffic Police officers, Kenny Buchanan and Dave Irvine, to teach and promote safe learner driver training.

Teaching someone to drive?
If you are already or considering it, do you know what to teach them to pass the DSA driving test? Remember it may have been a few years since you last had lessons and chances are things will have changed since then. In today’s uncertain climate and with finance in mind many people are now opting to teach relatives or friends to drive to save money on driving lessons.
While this is done with the best of intentions it is clear that the majority of these ‘instructors’ do not have the necessary knowledge on how the driving test is conducted and specifically what the examiner is looking for. With driving tests now costing £62 - £75 pounds can you afford to put someone to test lacking in the skills and knowledge necessary to pass.
For a limited time only, the Magnum School of Motoring is offering individuals who are not professional driving instructors, the opportunity to gain a valuable insight into the driving skills required to pass the driving test.
A 2 hour course costing £50 (cheaper than the actual test) has been devised which will give individuals the opportunity to gain this knowledge. It consists of both a theory and practical aspect, equipping the pupil with a greater knowledge of the test requirements and instructional tips which should help them to teach someone to drive with a greater chance of passing
